Bobbi Besley has more than twenty years of accounting experience of which seventeen years is work with non-profit organizations.  She consistently delivers quality services to her customers.  Commitment describes her work ethic.  Bobbi’s expertise includes accounts payable, general ledger, payroll, journal entries, bank reconciliation, financial statements, and audit preparation.  Her experience includes performing both accounting and IT roles including Business Manager, Director of Finance and Administration, Operations Manager, and Network Administrator.  She graduated from Eastern Senior High School in Washington, DC; and continued her studies in accounting at Prince Georges Community College.

Brian Carter, CPA

Carter, Brian – CPA


Brian is a licensed CPA in the State of Maryland and has more than 30 years of experience as a senior-level accountant experience in non-profit and for profit accounting.  At A&A, he is responsible for financial statement preparation, budgeting, system set-up and design, monitoring of internal controls.  Brian holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S) in Accounting from Georgetown University.  Brian’s extensive experience in accounting provides our clients with specialized accounting, audit preparation, grant management, internal control review, and accounting software support.

Crystal Hunt

Staff Accountant

Crystal Hunt has seven years of accounting experience.  She began her career on the university level followed by a tenure with a corporate retail chain. Crystal completed her Bachelors of Arts degree in Accounting from the University of Mount Olive in Mount Olive, North Carolina. Her passion for accounting includes, but are not limited to, bank reconciliation, analyzing accounting data and preparing financial reports. Along with her duties as a full-time Staff Accountant, Crystal is currently in pursuit of her Masters of Business Administration with the intent to obtain her license as a Certified Public Accountant. When she is not serving the business community with her accounting knowledge, she is serving our country as a Traditional Reservist with the United States Air Force.

Ismenia Pena-Romano

Pena-Romano, Ismenia – CPA

Senior Accountant

Ismenia is a licensed CPA in the State of Maryland with 12 years of accounting experience.  She graduated from Universidad Francisco Marroquin in Guatemala with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and earned a Certificate in Advanced Accounting from University of Maryland University College.  At A&A, Ismenia reconciles bank statements, performs monthly accounting processes, records payroll, produces financial statements, monitoring and billing on contracts, and financial analysis.

Louise RoDee

RoDee, H. Louise – CPA, CGMA

Supervising Senior Accountant

Louise is a licensed CPA in the States of Virginia and Arizona with more than 20 years of accounting experience in non-profit, for profit, and public accounting.  She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA.  Louise has extensive experience in non-profit accounting and provides her clients with specialized accounting, audit preparation, grant management, internal control review, and accounting software support.  She is responsible for the planning, budgeting and directing of audits of small nonprofit organizations.  Louise also provides training on accounting packages and assists clients with development and design of accounting systems and financial reports.  She understands the unique needs of all levels of non-profit organizations, from bookkeepers to board members.  Louise is a member of the AICPA and Arizona Society of Certified Public Accountants.

For more than 20 years, Maryellen worked in the marketing and graphic/web design field. Six years ago, she switched career paths and began working in the accounting field. Maryellen is a proud graduate of the University of Maryland.
